Large Tree Pruning
When a tree has outgrown its situation, sometimes a decision to remove certain branches totally or by a percentage may have to be considered. The reasons may be due to : dead, diseased, storm damage, also public safety eg. on Public highways or walkways.
Section Felling
Felling Sycamore tree, under electric cables and over a river.
This practice is when a tree cannot safely be felled from the ground level(in one). the tree is dismantled in sections with the aid of lowering ropes.
Storm Damage
High winds and saturated soil conditions, typical of summer storms, can cause tree roots to fail and branches to weaken. During winter, the weight of snow or ice can be equally damaging, resulting in the failure of branches or entire trees.
Crown Raising & Reduction
Trees with good bark are enhanced by crown lifting. It makes for better access for lawn mowing or mulching beds and also allows light so other plants benefit. Can also unblock a desirable view.
Crown Thinning
Crown thinning is the removal of a percentage of the trees crown. Commonly the operation is carried out on a broad leaved species to add more air and light. The circulation of the air through the tree reduces the likelihood of more storm damage.
Stump Removal & Grinding
When trees are felled their stumps can be removed to prevent suckering and fungal root rot. It can allow for replanting. Stumps can be removed with a grinding machine or weedkiller
Pruning of Hedges
Maintaining hedges and shrubs to a desired height & width to serve their purpose.
Removal & Recycling
No mess left behind. A tidy professional service with all timber and branches removed from the site. All can either be chipped on site or removed to a green recycling depot or even used as a mulch.

What is the best time of the year to prune trees?
There is no real best time. It can be dependant upon the tree species, or if fruit bearing, birds nesting, or hazardous to public safety.
Do you undertake large or small work?
Of course all work is important to us and appreciated....Please just ask us, no jobs are too small and we give reasonable rates.
Do you remove timber and branches from site?
Yes, it can either be chipped on site, or removed to a gren recycling depot, or even used as a mulch
Do you do tree reports and tree surveys
Yes we do tree preservation orders and trees within conservation area.
